何だかしっくりこないらしい。
they started to investigate just 20 minutes before the starting time...
出走時間が迫っている。しかし、どうにも気になるので調査。
they found that one of the cylinder stud bolts was worn out got a loose end.
シリンダーのスタッド・ボルトが一本痩せちゃっているのを発見。
スペアのケースから一本取って付け替えてみる。
地面にケースが転がっているのを見て、周りの人が「また80番がやらかしてる。かわいそうに。」という雰囲気が漂う。でも、たぶん大丈夫。

何とか出走時間に間に合った！本日のライダー木村氏。レイク・ハヴァスウまで371km。
#39 Linda and Larry. Larry is a special machinist that he made every single parts for their 1914 Indian. Linda got her motorcycle license just two weeks before the Cannonball. this is her first motorbike and every day she adds miles on it. she's a superwoman!
チーム39、LとL。おじさんのLの方は元マシニストで、彼らの1914年インディアンのエンジン、パーツ全部そっくり自作して参戦。ライダーのLは飛行機の女性パイロットだけど、オートバイの免許はキャノンボールの2週間前に取ったばかり。初めてのバイクが1914年インディアン。とにかく毎日スタートはするものの、不慣れで1マイル進んで止まってしまったりしていたのに、どんどん乗れる距離を増やしているスーパーウーマン。今日はゴール出来ますように。

one of his con-rods got snapped and missed two stages but he has been working on it and today, back on the road!
RRの16年インディアンは何日か前にコンロッドがひしゃげてしまった。でも二日掛かって何とかレースに復帰。だから今朝は特別に誇らしい気持ちなんだって。
#78 CF 1916 Indian
he has been struggling and repairing his Indian for two days and he's back on the road again today! never give up!
こっちの16年インディアンも3日前に大打撃を受け、結構落ち込んでいた。でも、直すしかないよな？と何度も我々に聞いてきて、昨日も夜中までずっと直して、今朝出走。みんな本当にカッコイイ。

#39 1914 Indian, Linda made it all the way!! now she is a true superwoman! so glad to be here and share this moment with them.
そして、免許取り立てホヤホヤの1914年インディアン、チーム39のLが初めてステージを完走！ほんとにほんとに嬉しかった！この瞬間を分かち合えることに感謝。
